Hand delivery of Collective Grievance for fairer London Weighting for school support staff in Merton

The GMB are currently campaigning for a better and fairer London Weighting for our school support staff who work within Merton Council. At present, teachers working in the same schools receive Inner London Weighting and school support staff receive outer. This could be a difference of up to £1400 per year! The GMB does not think this is fair and as a result are asking school support staff to sigh our collective grievance that will be hand delivered to Merton Council on Wednesday 22nd January 2025.
For this campaign to have an impact, we need as many of our school support members as possible to sign the grievance.
The GMB will be hand delivering the grievances to Merton Council at the council offices on Wednesday 22nd January 2025 – put this date in your diary now.
We strongly urge you all to attend this demonstration to show your support but more importantly, to show your employer that you are serious and prepared to fight for fairness.
We ask all our members to join us at the demonstration from 6pm, ready for a 6.30pm start at the Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, SM4 5DX.
